Inclusion and diversity key factors in helping workforces respond in challenging times

Ireland’s second annual conference will hear from international thought leaders and renowned D&I practitioners

How to shape inclusive and diverse workplaces in the midst of challenging times will be the focus of the upcoming National Diversity and Inclusion Conference - InclusionWorks2021 taking place virtually on Thursday, April 15th.

Hosted by the DCU Centre of Excellence for Diversity and Inclusion in partnership with the Irish Centre for Diversity and inclusio, the event which is now in its second year, will provide attendees with the practical insights and learnings on how to implement real and effective inclusive change in their own organisations.

The President of DCU Professor Daire Keogh will provide the opening address and the conference will feature contributions from international thought leaders, D&I practitioners and a number of DCU academic experts and specialists including Dr Tanya Ní Mhuirthile, Assistant Professor in Law in the School of Law and Government, Linda Keitasha, Programme Coordinator, DCU Centre of Excellence for Diversity and Inclusion and David Collings, Professor of Human Resource Management.

The conference will also feature a wide range of international senior leaders and diversity and inclusion experts from organisations including Google, Pfizer, Indeed, Bank of Ireland, publicjobs.ie, Irish Life, AMCK Aviation, Lexxic, Matheson and Nestlé. Representatives from these companies will share their insights and best-practice approaches to creating a more diverse and inclusive workplace throughout the course of the event.

Sandra Healy, Director of the DCU Centre of Excellence for D&I said,

“2020 has been a year like no other, bringing about unprecedented challenges and upheaval to many organisations who have grappled with working alongside a global pandemic. Organisations have had to change at a rapid pace and more than ever, there is a need to maintain a focus on inclusion and diversity, to deliver the best business, people and customer outcomes.

A major focus of InclusionWorks2021 is on the practical application of diversity and inclusion in the workplace - particularly as organisations adapt to a new post COVID workplace.

We learn from one another – and this conference will give attendees access to the very best in terms of thought leadership and best practice approaches. Practitioners will gain the knowledge needed to successfully move the diversity and inclusion agenda forward in their organisations.”
