Request Admin Rights

For security reasons, no staff-member or student should have an admin account on an ISS managed Windows device. For some technical users, admin rights may be regularly required for their work. ISS has a number of options available to provide timely admin access in specific circumstances.

• If an application always needs to run with admin rights, ISS can configure the system to always allow that app to run as an administrator. 
• Specific individuals can be allowed to right click on an app and select run with admin rights.
• One off admin rights requests can be processed via the ISS ticketing system
