Why do I receive two reports ?

Only a small number of people will receive two reports.

All DCU mail accounts are of the form Joe.Bloggs@dcu.ie but most people log into their account using a login name such as bloggsj. This login name can also be used as your mail address. So mail addressed to bloggsj@dcu.ie is the same as mail addressed to Joe.Bloggs@dcu.ie. In effect you have two mail addresses pointing at the same account.

The spam system creates accounts for users as mail arrives for them. So when mail arrives for bloggsj@dcu.ie it is treated as a different account than Joe.Bloggs@dcu.ie. The spam system does not know that these two addresses relate to the same account.
