DCU letters win design award

New DCU lettering has received a top award at the 32nd Irish Concrete Society Awards. The lettering, located in front of The Helix and at the Collins Avenue entrance to the campus, was the winner in the Elemental Category which recognises smaller projects in which concrete has been used. Previous winners in this category include the Formwork Studio, Jig Saw Dublin and the Lake House in Kerry.

The Awards are a celebration of excellence in design and construction in concrete and enable the Society to acknowledge construction achievements in which concrete, in any form, contributes to the built environment. The DCU project was undertaken in collaboration with Hanley Pepper Consulting Engineers, Zap Architecture, Collins Maher Martin Architects, the McKeon Group and Techrete.
