DCU plays a part in All Ireland Football Finals

Eight DCU students and past students will take to the pitch this weekend to represent Donegal in the All Ireland Football double-header against Kerry.

Michael Murphy, captain of the Donegal senior team, will be joined by fellow DCU graduates Michael Boyle, Paul Durcan, Martin McElhinny and Declan Walsh.  If the team are victorious, it will be the fourth year running for a DCU student or past student to raise aloft the Sam Maguire.

In the Minor Football Championship, current students Caolan McGonagle, Sean Daffan and Cian Mulligan will face off Kerry. Having attended a training weekend at DCU’s new sports grounds recently, the three freshers will have received an early taste of life on their new campus.
