Final tallies in the various categories saw the DCU squads retain all titles - Middle Distance, Sprints, Jumps and Throws. After 2 days of impressive action, DCU was crowned the IUAA overall team champions for the 11th consecutive year – the Men’s 11th in a row, surpassed by the ladies with their 12th team title in a row! The weekend was a magnificent success for our Athletics Club and Academy and great thanks must go to Cork IT for hosting a wonderful outdoor championship.

Special thanks must go to all our excellent coaches who work tirelessly with our athletes throughout the year, to our sponsors Bank Of Ireland, to our academic departments who accommodate some flexibility when required, to DCU Sport for our ever improving facilities, to CLC for all their continued support and services during the year, to Exwell Medical and the ATT faculty for all their injuries and treatment supports and to the faculty of Sports Science and Health for the testing laboratories and blood analyses. In the lead up to the championships, the clubs Captains Lilly Ann O Hora, Michael Carey and our Chairman Adam Foley were immense, and over the weekend our ATT support from Cillian Kirwan and Edel Kieran was greatly appreciated.
