DCU Campus Accommodation Update

Dublin City University has issued clarification this evening that effective from Monday, March 30th, any student who wishes to leave Campus Residences, or who has already done so, should inform the Campus Residences team that they are giving up their room and they will be refunded their remaining rental payment.

To trigger this refund, students have been advised they must remove all personal belongings from their rooms and contact Campus Residences by email or by clicking here to confirm that this has been completed.  Students have until 5pm on Friday April 3rd to confirm the end of their tenancy.

DCU rooms reception teams will be on duty between the hours of 10.00am and 6.00pm from Monday 30th to Friday April 3rd on all sites should assistance be required.

Any students not in a position to collect their belongings are asked to contact DCU Campus Residences to confirm that they are handing back the room, and depending on their preference, to provide authorisation for either the storage or disposal of any belongings left in their rooms.  Unfortunately the University is not in a position at this time to ship items to students but will retain them until the end of the Covid-19 crisis if requested to do so.

All students have been urged to ensure that their bank account details on the Campus Residences web portal are up to date so as to ensure refunds are handled expeditiously.

Students who wish to continue staying on campus or extend their stay have been reassured that DCU will continue to provide the best support possible to the end of tenancy agreements.  However,  to facilitate effective management of the residences, some residents may be asked to change rooms but will be given plenty of notice should this be necessary.

Specific enquiries should be sent to campus.residences@dcu.ie
