Entry Requirements

Applicants should note that where they do not meet the entry requirements for a programme their application will not have a successful outcome. It is the applicants responsibility to familiarise themselves with the entry requirements for the programmes for which they apply. These details are outlined within the programme information contained in the postgraduate prospectus. Applicants from overseas who are applying for programmes of study with DCU should note that they may be required to obtain a study visa to enter the country. Such applicants should note that, as visas are not issued for part-time study, they will be deemed ineligible to be considered for part-time programmes. See also http://www.dcu.ie/research/graduate_research/how_to_apply.shtml

Fee Status

The designation of an applicant as EU or Non-EU determines the fee level that will apply. Applicants are advised to determine their fee liability by using our self-assessment facility.

Non-EU applicants claiming entitlement to EU fees should note the following:

  • Where the claim of entitlement to EU fees is by virtue of tax residence they are required to submit evidence of P21 tax forms, employers references and work permits for the three year period prior to making an application
  • Where the claim of entitlement to EU fees is by virtue of attaining Refugee status in Ireland, they should submit a copy of the letter provided by the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform, confirming that such status has been conferred.
