Introducing MaharaIRL
The MaharaIRL user group hopes to build a community to share information, and support learning and collaboration on eportfolios across Ireland. Originating from a small group of pilot leads using the Loop Reflect eportfolio in DCU, the wider MaharaIRL group encompassing 25 people from 7 different institutions met for the first time in the Institute of Education on Thursday April 27th.
Speakers from DCU, UCD, RCSI, DkIT and MIC shared their experiences of eportfolios and Enovation Solutions presented on the new features of the April Mahara release, 17.04. Roundtable discussions enabled the sharing of problems (and solutions!) as well as best practices with eportfolios for teaching and learning. There was great engagement at the event which followed through to lunch afterwards.
