Ciaran Hayden, second year MBA student at DCU Business School received an
award and investment from Social Entrepreneurs Ireland (SEI) at a ceremony in Dublin earlier this month. His new business, Enclude, co-founded with Eamon Stack, seeks to “bring affordable, trustworthy business and ICT consultancy to Irish charities”. At the award ceremony Denis O'Brien commented that ‘Social Entrepreneurs are the mavericks and free thinkers who tackle some of the biggest issues facing Ireland today’.

Sean Coughlan, CEO of SEI, and Professor Colm O'Gorman, DCU Business School announced a new collaboration between SEI and DCU Business School. MBA students from DCU are working with social entrepreneurs, helping them to develop their project concepts, to identify revenue sources, and to prepare a business and financing plan.

Social Entrepreneurs Ireland is a not-for-profit organization financed by a number of private foundations including the One Foundation, and is chaired by Declan Ryan (see www.socialentrepreneurs.ie).
