Masters in Marketing Students in Dubai

6th June 2009

Six students of DCU Business Schools MBS in Marketing programme are this week experiencing business in the Arab world, with a trip to Dubai in recognition of their work completed as part of the programme's Strategic Management module.

Among the highlights of the trip for students Eoin Healy, Fiona Creedon, James Philbin, Linda Kelly, Neil Bruton and Sarah Mc Partlin have been company visits to DLA Piper, Dubai Knowledge Village, Dubai International Academic City and Enterprise Ireland's Office in Dubai. The students also had the chance to take in afternoon tea at the world-famous Burj Al-Arab Hotel.

The students' trip to Dubai was the result of their work on country profiles and integrated marketing communications campaigns prepared for the Arab Grid for Learning project coordinated by Dr. Theo Lynn. Their projects were shortlisted following presentations to the Global Grid for Learning management team and thus from a snowy January day in Cambridge, they ended up in blistering sun on the edge of the Arabian Gulf.
