Dr Pierre McDonagh joins Judging Panel for Chambers Ireland President's Awards for CSR

Dr Pierre McDonagh, Senior Lecturer in Marketing at DCU Business School, has been appointed to the judging panel for the Chambers Ireland President's Awards for Corporate Social Responsibility  2009.

Pierre founded, and is now co-director of, the Centre for Consumption Studies (CCS). The CCS is a research cluster of people interested in how people consume identity such as visual culture via the create arts, digital education and, more broadly, how we consume within consumer culture.

Pierre is an active participant in the CSR4U project, which aims to raise awareness of CSR among small and medium enterprises in Ireland.

This year mars the sixth annual Chambers Ireland President's Awards for Corporate Social Responsibility, in partnership with Business in the Community Ireland. The awards are held in association with the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs.

The award winners will be announced at a ceremony in Dublin on 24th September 2009.
