DCU MBA Secures Continuing AMBA Accreditation

17th June 2009

The DCU MBA has been awarded continuing accreditation by The Association of MBAs (AMBA), the international impartial authority on, and global standard for, MBA programmes. Accredited programmes are deemed to possess the highest standards of teaching, faculty and student interaction and to reflect changing trends and innovation in postgraduate management education.

AMBA accreditation is international in scope and reach. The Association's rigorous assessment criteria ensure that only the highest calibre programmes achieve the prestigious accreditation award.

The Executive MBA programme at Dublin City University Business School has been running since 1990. During this time leading national and multinational firms in Ireland have consistently supported employees on the programme. It is
widely recognised as the degree of choice for rising executives with ambitions to be Senior Managers/CEOs, whatever their specialist backgrounds.

The DCU MBA programme offers a strong core curriculum with an overarching emphasis on strategy, leadership and renewal. The programme examines the implications of management theories for the understanding of senior management roles and responsibilities along with detailed specialist knowledge, informed by current management research in functional aspects of business such as: accounting, business operations, finance, human resources, information systems, law, and marketing.

The two-year part-time DCU Executive MBA is delivered in two formats. Students may attend the programme on a weekly basis (one day per week) when classes are typically delivered from 2pm to 9.15pm, or students may attend the programme on a block release basis when classes are delivered three (8 hour) days per month (typically a Thursday, Friday and Saturday).

The DCU Corporate MBA programme is tailored to meet the requirements of the sponsoring organisation and the participants of the programme. Customised modules mean that the programme delivers tangible value for corporate clients.

The DCU Executive MBA is now accepting applications for September 2009 admission.
