DCU Business School’s new annual awards scheme recognises the achievements of the top performers in Junior
Certificate Business Studies each year.
What’s the purpose of the Awards?
The intention behind the scheme is primarily to give
recognition and encouragement to the students who achieve
the highest grades in the Junior Certificate Higher Level Business
Studies examination.
The scheme also aims to assist schools in nurturing the
potential of students who demonstrate aptitude for business
at Junior Certificate level.
In conjunction with other initiatives, the awards aim
to improve collaboration between staff and students at
second and third levels of the education sector in the area
of business studies.
Who is
eligible?
All Junior Certificate Business Studies students in schools
in Dublin city and county will be eligible for consideration
for the awards.
The Prizes
The top 50 performers
will receive a certificate of achievement from DCU Business
School, as will their teachers and schools.
In addition, prizes will be awarded to the top 3 performers,
as follows:
1st Place: €500 + plaque
2nd Place: €300 + plaque
3rd Place: €100 + plaque
The winning students, together with their parents and
teachers, will be invited to an awards ceremony and
reception at DCU Business School, Glasnevin, Dublin 9 this
autumn.
How do I enter?
You do not need to apply in order to be considered
for the Awards. All winners will be notified, through
their schools, in autumn.
