“My role with Innocent Drinks, one of Europe’s largest smoothie companies, was as Business Development Manager. It was my responsibility to drive growth of both new and existing accounts. I also focused on expanding the number of outlets that were stocking Innocent drinks. It was important to build up strong relationships with key accounts and implement activities such as the organising of sampling or promotions.

A key component of the role was to liaise with distributors to ensure that sales were being maximised. The role was principally field-based; however, the odd presentation had to be prepared back at the office.

The big things that I will take from doing INTRA are the exposure that I got to people and behaviours, and the insight it has given me into the business world.

I have picked up an abundance of decent contacts, unparalleled experience and this year has, most importantly, given me a certain degree of confidence that will hopefully propel me into the business world when I finish my degree."
