Demystifying the dark art of funding for female entrepreneurs

One of the biggest challenges for female entrepreneurs at early-stage business is access to funding, with men 70% more likely to gain access to funding than women. 

An event organised by the DCU Ryan Academy, in partnership with Global Invest Her, aims to demystify the process and help Irish women entrepreneurs become investor ready and get funded faster. This event will take place in the DCU Ryan Academy on Thursday 26th November. 

Participants will gain high value, practical insights and tips about how to look for funding whilst been given an opportunity to network. Successful female founders, Leonora O’Brien of Pharmapod and Helen Flynn of Konnect Again, will share their funding journeys while a panel of investors who fund early stage start-ups will be on hand to advise  on what they look for and how best to approach them.

Supported by Startup Europe, the event also marks the launch of Global Invest Her in Ireland and will provide a live experience of what members will be able to do on the portal itself.
