Recent DCU funding successes

Congratulations for Dr. Veronica Lambert, School of Nursing and Human Sciences, who has received a Health Research Award to carry out research into Parent-adolescent communication and negotiation of self-management responsibilities for adolescents’ with Type 1 Diabetes.

Veronica was also successful in obtaining a Knowledge Enhancement and Dissemination Scheme award, as were Dr. Donal O’Gorman, School of Health and Human Performance and Prof. Pamela Gallagher, School of Nursing and Human Sciences.

Congratulations also to Dr. Kenneth McDonagh who was recently awarded an Irish Research Council New Horizons Research Project Starter Grant of €99,178 to investigate how European Union Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) missions have impacted on gender relations in Kosovo and Bosnia-Herzegovina. The project will employ two postdoctoral researchers and a research assistant and will run until February 2017.
