Local Community Governance Seminars

DCU has hosted a series of seminars on risk management for local community groups. The seminars aim to respond to an identified need in the area of corporate governance for local non-profit organisations, in particular to develop a risk register. DCU’s risk officer, Noel Prior, delivered workshops to managers and Board of Directors  members which outlined the key components of the risk management cycle and the potential implications for their more than 30 organisations. The seminars were organised by NorDubCo, the North Dublin think tank, in conjunction with Ballymun Whitehall Area Partnership, Blanchardstown Area Partnership, Fingal LEADER Partnership, Northside Partnership and Tolka Area Partnership.
