GAA GPA All-Stars

Good luck to our 6 DCU students and graduates who have been nominated for the GAA GPA Football All-Stars. The All-Stars are jointly awarded by the Gaelic Athletic Association and Gaelic Players’ Association each year to recognise the best player in each of the 15 playing positions.

Current student, Robert Hennelly and graduate Stephen Cluxton have both been nominated as best goalkeeper, while Stephen also features on the short list for Player of the Year. Other nominations include James McCarthy (student) in Half Back position and Paul Flynn (graduate) at Half Forward, with graduates Bernard Brogan and Paddy Andrews both vying for the Full Forward award.

The final selection will be announced tonight at the All-Star banquet in Croke Park. The awards ceremony will be broadcast live this evening on RTÉ1 at 7:00pm.
