Archaeology C14 Radiocarbon Dates Scheme – Deadline Tuesday 19 April 2016

Applications are now invited for the RIA Archaeology C14 Radiocarbon Dates scheme. The Royal Irish Academy in association with Queen's University Belfast, offers radiocarbon dating to ten applicants per annum, to be used for the purposes of archaeological research in Ireland. The offer is intended to assist research projects, including people pursing an academic degree. Priority will be given to proposals that address critical research issues. Distribution of the dates will be at the discretion of the RIA Standing Committee of Archaeology.

Archaeology Research grants – Deadline Tuesday 19 April 2016

Applications are now invited for the RIA Archaeology Research grants. The Academy has a long association with the funding of archaeological excavation and field research in Ireland. The scheme provides grants for research in Irish archaeology (excluding excavation).

R.J. Hunter Postdoctoral Fellowship 2016 – Deadline Wednesday 13 April 2016

Applications are now invited for a two-year Postdoctoral Fellowship to develop and complete a new research project. Fellowships are available to researchers who have obtained their doctoral degrees within the seven-year period before the call deadline. The total value of the Fellowship will be up to a maximum of €45,895 in any approved year (maximum award - €91,790).
