Brazil – Science without Borders
Dublin City University (DCU) is proud to be one of the Irish Universities participating in the Science without Borders programme. DCU’s International Office now welcomes applications from prospective Study Abroad students from Brazil who wish to apply for a place and study on DCU’s Study Abroad Programme through the Science without Borders programme.
What is Science without Borders?
Science without Borders is an initiative set up with the aim of placing Brazilian students in overseas higher education institutions over the next four years, to study Science, Technology, and Engineering and Math’s (STEM) subjects as part of a major Brazilian government initiative.
Why Study Abroad?
In order to ensure a truly rounded education, many students look into the possibility of spending a semester or a year studying in a foreign institution. This experience has many advantages - both personal and professional - which include:

- increased intercultural competence
- improved employment opportunities
- networking
- personal enrichment
Why DCU?
Successful applicants will participate in the Science without Borders Study abroad programme at DCU and will choose modules (subjects) available to the Science without Borders Programme from DCU’s Faculties of Science and Health (http://www.dcu.ie/science_and_health/welcome.shtml and also from the Faculty of Engineering and Computing (http://www.dcu.ie/engineering_and_computing/index.shtml)
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for DCU Study Abroad programmes, applicants should hold a minimum GPA of 3.00.
English Language - 6.5 IELTS (no band less than 6.0) or equivalent
