Academic biography
Dr Niamh Daly is an Assistant Professor in Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour at DCU Business School. Her research explores trust, emotion, and sensemaking in the workplace, with a focus on how individuals and organisations respond to trust violations and ambiguity. Her PhD, completed at The University of Queensland, examined how people make sense of organisational trust breaches and their implications for future engagement. She has received multiple awards, including the Best Paper Award from the Irish Academy of Management and recognition from the Reputation Symposium at Oxford University and the First International Network on Trust (FINT) for the high societal relevance of her work. She is an active member of FINT, DCU’s Trustlab, and serves on the council of the Irish Academy of Management. Her work blends rigorous research with real-world relevance, and she regularly collaborates on interdisciplinary and international research teams.
