Academic biography

Dr. Tianqi Luo is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Dublin City University. She earned her PhD in Finance from Trinity College Dublin in 2023, following an MSc in Finance and a BSc in Finance from South China University of Technology, China. She has held visiting researcher positions in sustainable finance and financial econometrics at Universität Augsburg, Germany, and Linköping University, Sweden.

Her research focuses on AI and Financial Markets, Sustainable Finance, and Financial Risk Management. Specifically, she studies how artificial intelligence, green innovation, and governmental policies reshape investment pricing, bond market dynamics, and financial system resilience. Her work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals including the International Journal of Finance and Economics, International Review of Financial Analysis, and Energy Economics. She also serves as a reviewer for several finance and sustainability journals, including International Review of Financial Analysis, Research in International Business and Finance, and Asian Development Review.

Dr. Luo's research integrates rigorous econometric analysis with real-world policy and market relevance, with a particular interest in exploring how digital transformation and the green transition jointly influence global capital flows, international trading, and financial stability.

At DCU, she teaches Financial Risk Management, Financial Markets and Derivatives, and Data Science in Finance, combining theory with practical tools including Python, R, and econometric modelling. She also actively supervises MSc Finance dissertations and mentors students interested in ESG investing, FinTech, and quantitative finance.
