Biography

Lucinda Mosher, ThD (General Theological Seminary), is a member of the faculty of Hartford International University for Religion and Peace, working remotely as a resident of northeast Florida (USA). She teaches courses in interreligious studies, comparative theology, and spiritual caregiving; co-directs the Master of Arts in Chaplaincy program, serves as senior scholar for executive and professional education, and is an affiliate of the Duncan Black Macdonald Center for the Study of Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations. Concurrently, she is senior editor of the Journal of Interreligious Studies and rapporteur for the Building Bridges Seminar (an international dialogue of Christian and Muslim scholars). A prolific scholar, Dr Mosher is the author of seven books, the award-winning editor of thirteen more—including The Georgetown Companion to Interreligious Studies (2022), the editor of thematic issues for several peer-reviewed journals, and a contributor of numerous essays to journals and edited volumes. Deliberately bi-vocational, Dr Mosher maintains a parallel career as a musician who performs on organ, bassoon, and various Renaissance instruments. She relishes opportunities to combine her expertise in interreligious concerns with her training in theology and the arts.
