CfP: Conference to mark Resolution 1325 on WPS

This October sees the 25th anniversary of the UN Security Council passing its historic resolution 1325 on Women Peace and Security. This came after decades of activism, and moved the issues of gender and conflict further up the agenda. It was followed by further Security Council resolutions, actions by states, and rethinking of how these issues affect each other.

The DCU Conflict Institute and the DCU Institute for Research on Genders and Sexualities are organising a two-day conference on Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th October 2025 to mark the event.  The conference will be held in-person at Dublin City University.

Day one will be dedicated to UNSC1325, followed by day two with a focus on ‘conflict, gender and human security’. Early career researchers in particular are encouraged to apply.

The deadline for the abstract is Monday 18th August 2025. Abstracts of up to 300 words should be submitted through this form.
