Call for abstracts for the ‘Teaching about Asylum and Migration’ Online Workshop

Thursday 10th July 2025 on Zoom

Do you teach courses for undergraduate or postgraduate students on asylum, migration or a related topic? Have you introduced innovations in your teaching about asylum and migration? Would you like to share best practices with colleagues?

The aim of this online workshop is to reflect on the challenges raised by teaching on asylum and migration against the backdrop of rising anti-immigration feelings in various parts of the world, as well as discussing innovative practices. Contributions from any disciplinary perspectives and geographical contexts are welcome. The aim of the workshop is to start working towards a collective publication.

If you would like to participate, please email a short biographical note and an abstract of 250 words maximum to sarah.leonard@dcu.ie by Friday 13th June at the latest.

This workshop is part of the EUMIGSEC Jean Monnet Chair at Dublin City University, which is co-funded by the European Union.
