IPCC Two Day SME Procurement Briefing in DCU

As part of the 6th International Public Procurement Conference we are running a dedicated two day SME Procurement Briefing, aimed to address the issues faced by businesses in winning tenders in Ireland, the UK and across Europe. This event will provide Micro Enterprises, SMEs and large multinationals with an overview of the all-island and UK public procurement market, the opportunities available within, and the new EU directives being discussed currently.

Between attending workshops designed for the organisations needs in bidding for work, there will be an opportunity to meet buyers from the Public Sector including the DAA, HSE, Defence Forces and An Gardai. Organisations will also get an opportunity to network with procurers from countries such as Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, India, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, UK and USA. A full program of academic and practitioner papers will also be presented so participants can join the discussions on public procurement around the world.

A special half day session is being organised for the legal aspects of public procurement. Invited speakers include Professor Dermot Cahill , Professor Sue Arrowsmith , Professor Joshua Schwartz, Jennifer Mellerick of Mc Cann Fitzgerald and Eamonn Conlon of A&L Goodbody.
