Will McDermott is the interim manager of the Information Security team which is dedicated to protecting and enabling the DCU community. In addition, the team are responsible for cybersecurity across all DCU systems and software.

Team Responsibilities:
- 24x7x365 Security Operations Center: Monitor for, detect and react to adverse events in our complex digital environment in conjunction with our security partner.
- Vulnerability Management: Maintain inventories of all DCU data, software, hardware and systems and identify and mitigate against threats, vulnerabilities and risks to those assets.
- Incident Response Planning: Perform regular tabletop exercises to plan our responses to and preparation for serious cybersecurity incidents.
- Cybersecurity Cross Functional Groups: Manage departmental and University cross functional teams of engineers to address cybersecurity risks and protect the DCU community.
