Avril Fitzgerald, Partner Solutions Manager at DTS, led the rollout of Qualtrics as part of a broader initiative to strengthen research capabilities and support evidence-based planning at DCU. She explained that the decision to introduce Qualtrics was driven by growing demand for more sophisticated, secure, and flexible data collection tools across the university.
“Qualtrics is not just a replacement for older survey tools,” Avril explained. “It’s part of a long-term vision to give the DCU community the kind of digital tools that empower them to ask better questions, get better data, and make better decisions.”
This rollout aligns with the DTS mission to empower students and staff through modern digital solutions. For students, Qualtrics builds confidence and skills in using professional research tools. For staff, it supports informed decision-making in areas such as academic planning, service evaluation, and student engagement, all while ensuring data is handled securely and at scale.

How do I access Qualtrics?
- Go to: dcusurveys.qualtrics.com
- Log in with your regular DCU email address and password
- You’ll be taken straight to your dashboard, where you can start building surveys
You can also access Qualtrics through the Student Apps or Staff Apps link at the bottom of any page on the DCU website.
