DCU Apps Page Just Got an Upgrade

DCU students and staff logging in this week will notice something different; the DCU App pages have been given a fresh, modern redesign aimed at improving how our community accesses the digital tools they rely on every day. This enhancement is part of Digital Technology Solutions’ (DTS) ongoing commitment to digital readiness, continuous improvement, and delivering a best in class user experience that supports learning, teaching, and day to day campus life.

New Layout

The previous version of the App pages provided dependable access to key university systems and served the DCU community well for several years. However, as digital expectations continue to evolve, so must the tools we use. This redesign ensures that students and staff have an even more intuitive, responsive, and streamlined experience when navigating DCU’s core applications and services.

The new layout puts the most-used tools, such as LOOP (DCU’s virtual learning environment), email, timetables, and room booking, right at your fingertips. Whether you're on a desktop or mobile device, the fully responsive design adapts seamlessly to any screen size, supporting quick access whether you're on campus, studying remotely, or on the move.

A powerful new search bar allows users to quickly locate any DCU digital app, including those that may not appear immediately on the front page. This feature ensures that even less frequently used services are just a few keystrokes away.

Another highlight is the integrated news feed, which now brings you the latest updates directly from DTS. Whether it’s system improvements, cybersecurity advice, or tips for using your apps more effectively, you’ll see the most relevant information right on the page.

This redesign reflects our broader goal of continuously improving the digital campus experience in line with DCU’s strategic priorities of innovation, engagement, and accessibility.
