Artificial Intelligence (AI) at DCU

Artificial Intelligence
"We recognise that AI presents very significant opportunities and can have a very positive impact on our research, our teaching and the efficiency and efficacy of our operations at the level of individual, team and organisation."
Supporting Responsible AI Use Across DCU
A recent survey by DCU’s Quality and Institutional Insights Office (QIO) found that 60% of staff are already using AI in their personal and professional lives. Building on this momentum, Digital Technology Solutions (DTS) is providing the tools and guidance needed to help staff and students engage with AI confidently, advancing DCU’s mission to transform lives and societies through responsible innovation.
Guided by our mission to empower students and staff through modern digital solutions, DTS is ensuring that emerging technologies enhance how we teach, learn, and work, while upholding the highest standards of security and compliance.
“Artificial Intelligence is reshaping higher education. Our role in DTS is to respond with clarity, care, and leadership, supporting the University community with the guidance and secure systems needed to succeed.”
Justin Doyle, Director of DTS
