The Great European Debate
Ahead of next month’s European Parliament elections, Dublin City University will host eight candidates to debate a number of important issues facing Europe:
The Rule of Law, Polarisation and Security - how do we respond to extremism?
Financial Stability - can we keep the economy stable?
Candidates will include Barry Andrews, Fianna Fáil; Frances Fitzgerald, Fianna Gael; Ciaran Cuffe, Green Party; Alex White, Labour; Gary Gannon, Social Democrats; Éilis Ryan, Workers’ Party; Doloris Cahill, Irexit Freedom Party; Mary Alice Higgins, Independent Candidate.
Organised by the The Dublin Law and Politics Review and the European Law Students’ Association at DCU (ELSA DCU), the debate will be chaired by Dr Karen Devine, DCU School of Law and Government, and Annelieke Mooij, PhD student at DCU School of Law and Government.
