Tell It Straight 2020 Competition Final - postponed until further notice

The final of the Tell It Straight 2020 Competition Final which was due to take place on Wednesday 25th March 2020, in the Solás Room, KA202, the Student U Centre is now postponed until further notice.

The shortlisting stage of the competition is now complete and 15 finalists have been selected by a judging panel to take part in the final. 

This competition challenges research students to present their research in short presentations, in a context that is suitable for a non-specialist audience.  All five faculties will be represented in the competition, within the three categories:

  • Category 1: Oral presentation (year 1 research students only)
  • Category 2: Oral presentation (year 2 onwards)
  • Category 3: YouTube video (open to all years)

There will be an external judging panel that will assess how well each participant communicates the value of their research, in a manner that is suitable to a non-expert audience.

Please come along to support research students as they present their work in a concise, dynamic manner, through either five-minute oral presentations or two-minute videos.
