Key tasks and responsibilities include:
* Design, build, implement and maintain web based systems and services for the university community.
* Design, build, implement and maintain University web-sites.
* Advise, assist, support and help to train the DCU community in their use of web based technologies.
* Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend appropriate web strategies and technologies to the University.
* Keep abreast of Internet/WWW legislation and other associated legislation and brief the relevant authorities.

Involving myself in a number of projects in various roles allowed me the opportunity to develop and gain experience in a diverse range of skills from directing to editing, and from research to camera operation. These projects included:

 * Irish national broadcaster, RTE, shows Queuing for a Living and Sportscene and the Radio show Sportscall
