Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, DCU students and staff have found themselves in an unprecedented situation. The University’s priority remains the health, safety and well-being of our staff and students.

As you plan to return to DCU - or come to the university for the first time - we must implement measures to protect all members of the DCU community in line with government regulations. As part of the protocol for new and returning International Students you are required to complete this health and symptom check on a daily basis. Please note the following:

  1. You must complete this Daily Health Declaration for 14 days prior to your arrival in Ireland.
  2. You must check your temperature every morning before you complete the daily Health Declaration.
  3. If you feel unwell do not travel to Ireland until you have been symptom free for 14 consecutive days prior to your travel date.
  4. These declarations will be processed by the University and shared in a weekly report with the Department of Education in an anonymised way.

Important to Note:

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19 the University is required to ensure all incoming students complete the Daily Health Declarations. Completing the declaration will signify that the reporting individual is symptom free and confirms that they are fit to travel. If, for any reason, there is a break in reporting during the 14 days prior to travel and/or after arrival, the days will revert to 0 and students should record 14 consecutive days from that point.
