Inaugural Public Lecture of the Ireland India Institute

Ireland India Institute Public Lecture Series

Dr John Doyle gave the Inaugural Public Lecture of Ireland India Institute Lecture today topically entitled: Understanding the Foreign Policy of a Rising India.

Dr John Doyle is the Director of the Institute for International Conflict Resolution and Reconstruction and the Executive Dean of the Faculty of the Humanities and Social Sciences at DCU.  The lecture provided a good insight and overview from both an academic  and general perspective of the development of India's foreign policy to date.  The lecture served as an ideal introduction to contemporary India which is the focus of the Ireland India Institute.  Mr Partha Ray, First Secretary from the Embassy of India, Ireland joined the audience.

The lecture is the first event in a series which will be held by the Ireland India Institute.
