Purcell Cup Victory for DCU Camogie

Congratulations to the DCU Camogie Team on their outstanding victory in the Purcell Cup at the weekend. The team successfully defended their title against Mary I Limerick with a 2 11 – 1 09 scoreline at the final whistle. Emma Brennan, captain and Psychology student, led the team to creating a new piece of DCU sporting history.

DCU also enjoyed success on the football field with Ballymun Kickhams qualifying for the All Ireland Club final on St Patrick's Day with a convincing win over Kerry's Dr Croke's team. The university was well represented by Ken Robinson, team coach and students, Dean Rock, James McCarthy and Davy Byrne. We wish them every success for the final in Croke Park on St Patrick's Day.
