III PhD Studentships

Dublin City University invites applications for PhD studentships, valued at between €21,000 and €27,000 on Contemporary Indian Politics and Society.

We welcome all high quality applications but we are particularly interested in proposals within the following broad topic areas:

  • Security and Conflict Resolution in South Asia
  • India – EU relations
  • India’s international development policy
  • Violent Online Political Extremism in South Asia.
  • Gender and Indian politics
  • Ireland and India – historical and cultural connections

Criteria:  The successful candidates must have a Masters degree in Politics, International Relations or related areas. The PhD programme will provide significant mentoring support and therefore scholars must be resident in Dublin.

All positions will begin on 1 October 2014.

2. These PhD scholarships have a value of up to €21,000 to €27,000pa (full fees, plus €16,000pa, usually tax free) for up to 4 years, subject to satisfactory progress.

3. Full fees will paid for both EU and non-EU students

- 2000 word Research Proposal, setting out your Research Question, how the Research relates to existing Academic Literature and a Brief Description of your Proposed Methodology.
