On 8th March, DCU Executive Education hosted the 9th "Update your MBA" seminar on behalf of the MBA Association of Ireland. The theme for this seminar was "Creating an Innovative Enterprise". The speakers at this seminar were Dr Bettina von Stamm who is Director of the Innovation Exchange at London Business School, Professor Phillip Anderson who is Professor of Entrepreneurship at Insead and Dr Peter Farrell who is President and Chief Executive of Resmed and who was named 2001 Australian Entrepreneur of the Year and 1998 San Diego Entrepreneur of the Year. The speakers delivered a series of integrated presentations to outline how companies can create, integrate and manage innovative processes, thus ensuring that their organisations consistently produce fresh ideas that translate inro real profits. They analysed the dynamics that drive creative organisations and explored the differences between incremental and radical innovation in companies. In the afternoon there was a plenary discussion on a relevant case studies and the speakers were joined by three panelists, Oliver Tatton, who is Chief Executive of Daon Ltd., Bernard Hensey who is Chief Executive of Aircraft Management Technologies and Andrew Gaule who is Chief Executive of Henley Incubator Centre. All of the panelists are innovators and entrepreneurs. The seminar was chaired by Professor Brian Leavy and was attended by MBA Association members from all over Ireland.

The seminar was a great success and DCU Executive Education were pleased to host this event and to welcome these distinguished guests to our campus.
