Tanaiste Mary Coughlan Launches New Leadership Masters Programme for Beaumont Hospital

An innovative MSc in Organisational Change and Leadership Development was launched recently at Beaumont Hospital. The two-year, part-time programme is being provided jointly for Beaumont staff by DCU Business School and the RCSI Leadership Institute in partnership with the hospital's Learning and Development Unit. Speaking at the launch, the Tanaiste and Minister for Education and Skills, Mary Coughlan, welcomed the initiative as a milestone in healthcare education, bringing together the complimentary expertise of three institutions in a unique collaboration with exciting potential.
Also speaking at the launch to welcome the initiative and offer their support were Mr Liam Duffy, CEO of Beaumont Hospital, Professor Brian MacCraith, President of DCU, and Professor Hannah McGee, Dean of the Medical Faculty, RCSI. The new programme is jointly accredited by DCU and NUI, and NUI was represented by the Registrar, Dr Attracta O'Halpin. The proceedings were hosted by Ms Anne McNeely, Director of Organisational Development and Deputy CEO of Beaumont Hospital. The new programme will be led by Dr Finian Buckley of DCU Business School and Mr Steve Pitman of RCSI.
