The Achievement Awards encourage students to stay in school, foster positive attitudes towards university as well as reach out to students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Awards will be made to 480 students, from 32 primary schools and 480 students from 16 second level schools in the North Dublin Area in two special ceremonies. Entries will be taken in one of the following five categories: Academic, Sporting, Community Spirit, Arts and Culture, Special Nomination. Effort, perseverance and marked improvements made by a student will be taken into account.
