Barry Norman Recognition Event for DCU Alumni Donors

In recognition of their support to the 2008 Annual Fund, alumni donors were invited to attend an audience with Barry Norman at the Helix on Friday, September 19th. At the end of the evening, Barry even fielded questions about guests’ favourite stars.
The DCU Educational Trust would like to thank everyone who contributed to the 2008 Annual Fund. By doing so much needed funding for the DCU Access Programme was raised.
The DCU Access Programme works with children from primary through to secondary school to encourage them to continue their education at third-level. All of these students come from socio or economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Without the intervention of the DCU Access Programme many would not have the opportunity to avail of a third-level education. In addition the donations raised during our telethons support scholarships for each student admitted. At the moment there are over 400 Access students at DCU and each student receives a scholarship to help defray costs associated with their education
If you have not had the opportunity to support the Fund this year, we do hope that you will consider doing so in the coming months. To learn more, or to make a donation online, visit the Educational Trust website.
