Danny Gallagher, from St. Declan’s College in Cabra, was the 1000th student to take part in the Compute TY web design course organised by the School of Computing at Dublin City University. This online, self-paced web design course, which is in its second year, allows students to develop practical computing skills and gain certification from the School of Computing for their work.

Danny when speaking about the course said that he really enjoyed learning about web design and computers.

When asked about his short experience of the Dublin City University Campus, Danny said, “I used to come out here to DCU to skateboard when I was younger. I find it a lot easier here than in secondary school. It's more relaxed and a lot less strict. You can do what you want when you want.”
