CoderDojo comes to DCU

Dublin City University will launch CoderDojo @DCU, a computer coding club for young people, on Saturday 28th April at 1:00pm above the Campus Restaurant. The club, the first of its kind on the North side of Dublin City, provides an opportunity for young people aged 10 upwards to learn how to code, develop websites, apps, programs, games and more.

Coder Dojo is a global movement of free coding clubs for young people which aims to make development and learning to code a fun, sociable experience. Dojos are set up, run and taught by volunteers, allowing members to meet like-minded people and share ideas. Dojos also organize tours of technology companies and appearances by guest speakers to talk about their careers and what they do.CoderDojo also puts a strong emphasis on open source and free software, and has a strong network of members and volunteers globally.
