DCU extends its sympathy to the people of Poland
Monday 12th April 2010
The community of Dublin City University would like to extend its sympathy to the people of Poland, to the family of President Lech Kaczynski and his wife Maria, and to the families of all those who lost their lives in the fatal plane crash at the weekend.
President of DCU, Professor Ferdinand von Prondzynski, reflecting on his own Polish heritage, said that he was personally very saddened by the news. “I hope that the Polish people take some comfort from the expressions of sympathy from around the world. I would like them to know that we are thinking of them at this sad time”.
A book of condolence is open in the Inter Faith Centre and will be presented to the Polish Ambassador here in Dublin on behalf of the staff and students of DCU.
