DCU Business School presents awards to top Junior Cert Business Studies

Dublin City University Business School held its inaugural award ceremony this evening to recognise the achievements of the top performers in the Dublin area in the Junior Certificate Business Studies exams, 2010.
All winning students and schools were presented with a certificate of achievement by the Deputy President of DCU, Professor Anne Scott.
The ceremony was also attended by Mary O’Sullivan, Honorary National President of the Business Studies Teachers Association of Ireland.
Professor Bernard Pierce, Dean of DCU Business School, said, “We are delighted to acknowledge the wonderful achievements of the students here this evening, but we would also like to pay particular tribute to the commitment and dedication of their teachers. We hope to continue to build on our relationship with teachers through the Business Studies Teachers Association of Ireland, and will explore other initiatives to promote greater communication between second and third level Business Studies teachers”.
Bronagh Moore of Skerries Community College was the winner of this year’s first prize. The joint second prize was awarded to Nabeeha Moollan of Dominican College, Griffith Avenue, Daniel Nolan of Blackrock College and Haaris Shiwani, Castleknock College.
