Interactive Whiteboards Day
Wednesday 5 December 2007

SMART Technologies has recently donated a number of interactive whiteboards and Senteo voting packs to DCU Business School. These will be used as part of various teaching and research initiatives within the Business School and through the Applied Learning Technology Group (Applet), part of LINK (http://www.appletresearchgroup.org/)
Applet organized a one-day Interactive Classroom Technology Workshop on November 30th in the Business School. The objective of the workshop was to introduce interactive classroom technologies and to provide attendees with basic skills in using these technologies. The workshop was divided into a number of sessions which shall include presentations from Steljes, SMART Technology’s main representative in the Irish education market, and practitioners from the Faculty of Health and Science, DCU Business School and the School of Education Studies MSc. E-learning programme. In the afternoon, attendees gained hands-on experience and skills using technology directly in a number of small-group sessions.
The workshop, ran from 9am to 5pm, was free and open to faculty and invited guests from the wider education sector. Applet would like to thank the sponsors, SMART Technologies and Steljes, for their generous support.
