On July 23rd, a special reception was held for DCU Alumni in San Francisco. The reception was hosted by the Consul General Mr. Donal Denham at his home and was attended by over 20 Alumni and guests. Patrick McDermott from the DCU Educational Trust attended with Robert Mulligan who is currently a student at DCU on the Access Scholarship Programme. Robert spoke to guests about his time at DCU and how the Access Programme is helping him accomplish his goals by supporting his college education. He also gave Alumni, some of whom graduated over 15 years ago, a picture of how the University has developed since then and what life is like on campus now.

The event was a huge success and many Alumni regained contact with DCU after a long time living abroad. The Alumni gathered enjoyed the event immensely and there may now be an Alumni association set up on the west coast to support the growing DCU family there. Thanks to all who attended and hopefully many more Alumni events will come in the future!
