DCU's Ryan Academy to run seminars on the current economic environment

The Ryan Academy for Entrepreneurship, the DCU facility based in Citywest, has announced a series of lunchtime lectures designed for business leaders. The aim is to stimulate debate on the current economic environment and the role of entrepreneurial leadership in resolving key issues facing companies operating in Ireland today.
"Ireland needs strong leaders, entrepreneurial passion and real innovation to secure a better future for our economy. Now is the time to plan for success and to develop strategies to take advantage of the recovery as it unfolds", said Ms Ann Horan, CEO of the DCU Ryan Academy, "As a centre of excellence for entrepreneurship, the Ryan Academy is taking the lead through stimulating debate among senior business people. We want to help find solutions and encourage real action among the leaders in Irish business."

- What do Entrepreneurial Leaders do in a Recession?
Brody Sweeney, CEO, O'Briens Sandwich Bars, (Thursday 16th April 2009) - The Irish Economy - why are we in a mess and what can we do to solve our economic problems?
Anthony Foley, Senior Lecturer, Head of Economics, Finance and Entrepreneurship, DCU (Thursday 30th April 2009) - Innovation and agility allow companies to compete globally - lessons both good and bad, from the software industry
Patrick Brazel, Entrepreneur and past Chairman of the Irish Software Association (Thursday 14^th May 2009) - Other speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.
