Dublin City University’s launch tenure as competition hosts of the Datapac Sigerson Cup 2006

Mr Seán Kelly, President of the GAA, officially launched Dublin City University’s tenure as competition hosts of the Datapac Sigerson Cup on Tuesday 31 January 2006. The competition will take place on DCU campus on 24 and 25 February 2006. The DCU Sigerson Cup team and Captain Brian Cullen were at the event.

The Datapac Sigerson Cup is one of the most prestigious college football tournaments and this year DCU has been instrumental in increasing the national profile of the event. The two semi final matches will receive full-televised coverage and this is also the first year that the final will be played under lights at 7.30pm on Saturday 25 February 2006 at Parnell Park. It is hope that this new development will encourage audience and support on the night.
